I am married and have 2 children and 2 grandchildren.  I live in Cuba, Missouri with my husband, Brad.  I have been teaching for 26 years.  I have taught 1st grade for 5 years, 5th grade for 3 years, 2nd grade for 5 years, kindergarten for 6 years, and Title I Reading for 6 years.  I have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Missouri Columbia (UMC) in Education.  My Master's Degree is in Educational Technology from UMC.  I am also certified to teach reading through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.  I most recently completed my Curriculum Specialist Degree through Missouri Baptist University. I am also a trained Reading Recovery Teacher.
