 Counseling Services

The counselor's services are for all children in the Rolla School District. Our goals are to help children, parents, and teachers build on their strengths to insure the healthy mental development and happiness of the child.  It is important to remember that the counselor does not see only problems.  The concerns of the counselor is in the prevention of obstacles that interfere with learning.

The counselor assists with the district testing programs and interprets the results to students, parents, and teachers and in obtaining services outside the school.

Visits my classroom with guidance activities.

Getting to know your school counselor!

Mrs. Dee Whitaker:

• Bachelor of Science in Education with certification in Physical Education, Social Studies, Science, and Special Education. 
• Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling.
• Three years of teaching experience at the middle & high school levels.  Nine years of coaching experience-volleyball & track.
• Fourteen years of elementary/middle school counseling experience.
