Welcome to Truman Elementary School!
Mission Statement
The mission at Truman Elementary School is to provide the climate, guidance, and academic structure that will help each child develop a life-long commitment to learning, self, and community, thus enabling our students to develop to their fullest potential.
We believe and are dedicated to the premise that we are a major influence in determining a childs values, motivation, levels of thinking, and success in subsequent years. Therefore, we are dedicated to the teaching of basic competency in reading, writing , and mathematics, critical thinking skills, and further appreciation of the arts. We hold high expectations for our students and ourselves.
Fight Free Schools
Fight Free Schools is a simple concept in which all students keep their hands, feet, and all other objects to themselves. This is an incentive program in which we will strive to be a 100% Fight Free School.
Absentee Request
If your child is ill, please call the office at 458-0180 before 9:00 a.m. to let us know that your child will be absent. We will be able to collect the work your child will miss and have it available for pickup in the office by dismissal time.
