Sexual Harassment

Sexual Harassment constitutes unlawful sex discrimination. It is the policy of the Rolla Board of Education to maintain a learning and working environment that is free from sexual harassment. See the Student Services Handbook or inquire in the director’s office for additional information.

Public Services

RTI/RTC serves as a testing site for Missouri Merit Examinations and the Department of Natural Resources Well Drilling Examination. The school hosts Missouri Hunter Safety and Boating Safety classes twice annually.  Each year, a computer lab is utilized by AARP during the months of January through April for their free income tax filing service. Also, the school donates the use of a classroom and the assembly room once a month for a local computer users group to hold its meetings.

Organizations / Memberships

RTI/RTC has several active student leadership organizations, including DECA, FFA and SkillsUSA. Students involved in these organizations complete service projects and compete in district, state and national skills competitions.  Each year, we have dozens of state medal winners and send several students to national competitions.

One of our drafting students was a first place medalist in the national SkillsUSA competition in 2006, and another placed second in 2009.  In 2011, one of our graphic design students placed first in the advertising design contest and that same year a respiratory therapy student took second in the extemporaneous speaking contest at the national contest.

Our faculty members are all active in their professional organizations and many of them serve in leadership roles. They also receive many awards from their professional organizations. During the 2005/2006 school year, one of our instructors received the Japan Fulbright Memorial Scholarship and had the opportunity to travel to Japan to study and one of our instructors was recognized by the Missouri Special Needs Association for his work in our community.  The faculty members are committed to student success, they have strong relationships with their advisory committees and employers, and they work closely with each other.
