Rolla Alternative Program for Behavior Intervention is located in the modular classrooms located behind the Rolla Middle School. Its primary purpose is to give students who are in grades 5-12 and have discipline issues or exhibit violent, disruptive, or abusive behavior, an opportunity to continue their education while still being disciplined.

            Our program uses the computer based learning system APlus Online (A+).  This curriculum follows the Missouri state mandated curriculum and has been approved by the Rolla School District Administration. It is a computer based curriculum that is designed to help students understand and learn at a more comfortable pace for them.        

    The facilitators (teachers) for this program are Dawn Fitzgerald, a three year veteran of alternative education in the Rolla School District, and Reggie McElroy, a seven year veteran of alternative education from Dallas County School District (Buffalo, MO). This will be their second year working together and collaborating to help Rolla Alternative program maintain a high level of educating young people in the program.
