In this module, students learn the exciting and challenging software, AutoCAD® LT. Students discover that everything from the houses we live in to the backgrounds used in movie sets can be planned without using traditional drafting tools. In this introduction to AutoCAD®, students get a step-by-step explanations for basic operations and functions of the program’s tools and features. With hands-on projects, they learn and practice such skills as setting up drawing grids for a drawing environment, using simple line, erase, move, and rectangle commands, and creating more sophisticated designs with several different layers. Students enjoy this module because they get to use professional equipment while creating personal designs of their own.
