Gym shirts must be t-shirt type with short sleeves or sleeveless muscle shirt and long enough to be tucked into shorts. Gym shorts must be of modest length, comfortable fit, and have an elastic waistband. No cutoffs are allowed. Student's name should be placed on each clothing item and towels. Sweatshirts and pants are recommended for the colder months.
General Physical Education
Emphasizes skill development in a wide range of lifetime activities, a personalized program of physical fitness, and an understanding of the role of vigorous and regular physical activity. Opportunities for participation in a variety of activities are offered, including lifetime, team, outdoor and recreational activities.
Health is part of the General Physical Education program and since these topics are considered major concerns in today's society, special emphasis is placed on alcohol, drugs, tobacco, sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS and stress management.
