Kaleidoscope Self Portrait
Sketching:
Sketch objects, symbols, imagery that represents you.
Sketch yourself in Motion; Descending stairs, running, jumping jacks, diving, etc…
Final painting: Automatic Painting
Make an automatic drawing with pencil and other media. Don’t think about drawing; just draw. Use a circular mandala format. Your drawing needn’t stay within the circle. Use your previous sketches. Use this to complete an oil painting.
Week of January 10th
AP Drawing
Look back at your portfolio. Select one work of art that you could add or modify.
Re-do that art work expanding upon the original problem
modifying the surface and your mark making techniques
Identify the problem to be solved: nothing creative can happen until you recognize what you want to do
Become prepared by evaluating your work
AP Design
List the Elements and Principles of Design in your sketchbook. Look back at your portfolio. Select one work of art that you could add or modify. Re-do that art piece selecting certain elements and principles to emphasis.
