FUTURE TEACHERS OF AMERICA (FTA) learns about the teaching profession and explores the members’ interest and abilities in relation to the various fields of teaching. Club activities include one day of cadet teaching, serving as guides for College Night, having programs with guest speakers, and helping with children’s fairs and elementary school carnivals. Members must pay a $5 membership fee and attend 70% of all activities to be eligible for cadet teaching. Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month immediately after school.
