LATIN CLUB is designed to acquaint students with the Latin culture and language. Any student who is or has been enrolled in a Latin class, or is interested in Latin, is eligible to join. Dues are $10 annually. Many activities are planned each year, including Rent-A-Roman, Myth Feast, International Night, and the spring Hill trip. As a member of Latin Club you also become a member of the Missouri Junior Classical League (MOJCL) and the National Junior Classical League (NJCL). Each year, students are given the opportunity to attend the MOJCL and NJCL conventions. At these conventions, students take academic tests and participate in events which include Certamen, art, volleyball, and chess. Students are competing against other students from Missouri at MOJCL and students from across the United States at NJCL. These conventions provide the opportunity for students to expand their knowledge of Latin and to meet new people.
